Refunds and cancelling

Last updated July 29, 2026

What you get back if the first server you buy is not for you, what is not refundable, and how to stop paying. Both a refund and a cancellation are an email today — there is no refund or cancel button in Rebetchi Manage yet.

1. Your first server comes with a 72-hour money-back window

The first server you ever buy is covered for 72 hours from the moment the purchase completes. Inside that window you get a full refund of that charge and you do not have to give a reason.

  • To claim it, email support@rebetchi.com inside the 72 hours. Say which server, from the email address on the account. Email is the mechanism, not a formality — there is no refund control anywhere in the panel.
  • The window applies once per customer, to your first server purchase. Later servers are not covered by it.
  • Refunding under the guarantee ends service for that server.

2. What is not refundable

  • Monthly renewals. Once a renewal is charged it is not refunded by default. Cancelling stops the next one; it does not undo the last one.
  • Add-ons. Community Pro, at $9.99/mo, is not refundable by default.
  • Servers after the first. The 72-hour window covers your first purchase only.

Those are defaults, not a wall. If something went wrong on our side, ask — support can refund beyond the defaults at its discretion, and that is a judgement we would rather make than hide from. Email support@rebetchi.com and say what happened.

The Rebetchi refund policy is the wording that decides a disagreement. This article is the plain-language version of it and does not add or remove anything.

3. How to cancel

Email support@rebetchi.com and name the server you want cancelled. There is no cancel control in the panel. The "Manage billing" button on the panel's Billing page opens Stripe, and that page is deliberately limited to your payment method and your invoices — subscription changes are switched off there, so cancelling always goes through us.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut your server off the day you ask: service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Once the cancellation is booked, the Billing page shows a "Service ends" date and a banner saying the subscription will not renew.

4. What happens when the paid period runs out

Your server stops and is terminated. A final backup of the world is taken as part of that, and it is kept for 30 days.

If you want the server back inside those 30 days, buy it again — checkout offers your terminated server as something to restore, which keeps the same name, join address, roster and backup history. If it is not offered, email support@rebetchi.com before the 30 days are up.

5. A failed payment is not a cancellation

If a card fails, nothing is cancelled and your server keeps running while Stripe retries it for up to 7 days. Still unpaid on day 7, the server is stopped, your world is left intact and your join address is held. Still unpaid on day 21, it is terminated — a final backup is kept for 30 days, and paying before then restores it.

Update the card yourself from Billing in the panel, using "Manage billing".

6. Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account

They are separate acts. Account deletion lives in the panel under Account, and it refuses to run while you still have a live subscription or a server that has not been terminated. Cancel first, let the paid period run out, then delete. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

7. Things you cannot do yet

  • Switch plan. Moving between Core, Plus and Ultra is not available, in the panel or by asking. It means resizing your server as well as changing the subscription, and we cannot resize a server yet.
  • Cancel and re-buy as a way to switch. That gets you a new server rather than a moved one, and the first-month discount is once per account ever — an account that has held a subscription before, including a cancelled one, is not eligible again. There are no free trials.
  • Download your world to your own computer. The panel restores from backups we hold; nothing in it exports a save file to you.

8. How a refund reaches you

Refunds go back through Stripe to the card that was charged. Depending on your bank they usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.

Still stuck? Email support@rebetchi.com and tell us your server name — we can see the logs from here.
